Twitter’s home to millions of people, many of them readers and writers. So, how can you get them to notice your book? Share your work? Help your work touch more people?
- Put two relevant hashtags in each tweet. Three at the most.
- Embed them in naturally. For example, “My #scifi book is excellent!”
- Capitalize the first letter in a hashtag, i.e., #ThePriceOfABeatingHeart
- Offer your fellow Tweeters a reason to use your hashtag. For example, Retweet #AccountabilityWithAshleigh to join the exclusive club
- Avoid consecutive hashtagging (#awesome #scifi #books) — hard to read and it can get annoying
- Tweet about more than your book
With so many hashtags, it can be tough to know which ones are the best, so here’s 33 popular ones for writers:
